Five others hurt as car hits tree
TOWN OF FABIUS -- Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin Walsh has released more information about a deadly crash in the Town of Fabius.
Investigators are still waiting for autopsy results, but do say some of the passengers were under the influence of alcohol. Some of them were also underage. The Sheriff says they are looking into how the alcohol was obtained, but right now its too early to tell if any charges will be filed in the case.
Sunday morning at 2:15 a car traveling on swamp road swerved to avoid a Christmas tree on the road. The driver was killed and five others were injured. Detectives are looking into how the Christmas tree got there. They want to know if it was dumped on the side of the road, or if it was blown onto the highway by the wind.

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Department says 23-year-old Jason Ingison of Fabius was killed early Sunday morning in a single car crash on Swamp Road in the Town of Fabius.
Deputies say the passengers in the car told them Ingison was traveling southbound on Swamp Road when he swerved to avoid a Christmas tree in the middle of the road. Investigators say Ingison lost control of the car and it rolled over and struck a tree.
According to deputies, the five passengers were taken to area hospitals for non life threatening injuries.

Onondaga County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a fatal car crash in Pompey Sunday morning.
Police say about 2:15 a.m. the car, travelling on Swamp Road near Hills Road and the Number 5 Road West, swerved to avoid something in the roadway and hit a tree.
The driver was killed and five others were injured. Three are being treated at Upstate, two at Crouse Hospital, and their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
