Syracuse firefighters remember those fallen in the line of duty.
They're also looking ahead, as the city proposes cutting a fire station.

Syracuse Firefighters are gathering in downtown Syracuse on Sunday morning to remember comrades fallen in the line of duty.  It is the anniversary of the 1939 Collins Block fire, when 9 city firefighters died.  Now the Firefighters' Park ceremony remembers all who've died in the line of duty.

This year's ceremony comes, as the city propses closing a fire station to save, in its budget.   It's already a hotly debated topic.
