WATERTOWN -- Watertown Police say the ex-boyfriend of Annette Vazquez is in custody in Puerto Rico. Ramon Robles, 29, is being held by U.S. Marshals on a "fugitive from justice" warrant based on a second degree murder warrant issued yesterday afternoon in Jefferson County. Robles is awaiting extradition.
Investigators are still searching for Vazquez's body. They do believe she is in Jefferson County, but the search has been difficult because of all the snow and cold weather.
Vazquez disappeared on December 8. Her ex-boyfriend has been a person of interest since then.
