NORTH BAY (AP) -- State Police say a 64-year-old western New York man was found dead in his fishing boat on Oneida Lake.
Troopers say the victim is Ronald Emerling of Hamburg.
State police say they were called to the scene Tuesday to check on a report about a body floating in the water in North Bay, about 30 miles northwest of Syracuse. They found Emerling with his upper body in the water and his lower torso still in the boat.
Troopers say they have no other information about the case at this time. An investigation is continuing pending autopsy results.
