SYRACUSE -- A second Onondaga Indian Nation teenager has pleaded guilty to arson after setting fire to two reservation churches in July.

17-year-old Dylan Antone of Nedrow entered a guilty plea Tuesday morning in front of Onondaga County Court Judge Anthony Aloi on a charge of third degree arson. Atone and 16-year-old Jacob Homer had been charged with arson and burglary after setting fire to the Wesleyan Chapel and United Methodist churches on the Onondaga Reservation.

Homer pleaded guily in August to the same third degree arson charge and was sentenced to up to four years in state prison. As part of his plea deal, Antone will receive an agreed upon sentence of one and one-third to four years in prison at his sentencing hearing on October 13. Because both teens received youthful offender status, they will have their convictions removed from their records once they complete their prison terms.

Police say that Antone and Homer had been drinking when they set fire to the two churches on July 5, 2009. The Wesleyan Chapel Church was heavily damaged and had to be torn down.

The two teens will be required to pay full restitution.
