HENDERSON -- The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has reported a fatal one car crash that took place early Monday morning in the Town of Henderson.

Police say that 22-year-old Michelle D. Salisbury was headed east on State Route 3 when her vehicle swerved across the oncoming lane of traffic and off of the road, eventually striking a telephone pole.

Salisbury was taken to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown where she was pronounced dead.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
