SYRACUSE -- The Syracuse Police Department tells Action News that they are on the lookout for three suspects of an armed robbery that took place at a home on the city’s west side.

Police say three masked men forced their way through a back door of a home on Lakeview Avenue just before 9:30 Wednesday morning. At least one of the three is said to have been armed with a handgun and allegedly pistol-whipped two teenage boys in the home before tying them up with duct tape. The teens were not seriously injured.

According to officers, the suspects ransacked the house but didn't take anything. Police Department spokesman Sgt. Tom Connellan says they were looking for money, but didn't find any.

Police say the house was targeted, but do not know why. The teens’ mother was also home at the time, but was not injured either.

Anyone with any information on the case can call the Syracuse Police Department at 315-442-5222.
