BREWERTON -- The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the northbound left lane of Interstate 81, as it crosses over the Oneida Lake Outlet, is being closed until further notice.

This precautionary closure is in response to deterioration found in the westernmost (fascia) concrete beam. This condition is similar to that in the southbound direction.

Both closures will be in effect until a proper repair can be made.
