MANLIUS -- Manlius Police are hoping the public can help them track down those responsible for throwing a pumpkin at a car early Thursday morning.
Donna Rogers of Chittenango was driving to work on Green Lakes Road near Alvema Heights Road just before 2:00 AM when someone in a passing car threw a pumpkin at her vehicle. The pumpkin crashed through the windshield of her westbound car. Though she was blinded by shattered glass, Rogers managed to pull the car over safely.
Rogers was taken to University Hospital and treated for a scratches to her cornea. She says whoever threw the pumpkin at her did so intentionally. "When the window opened up. I heard whoever was in the car laughing as they drove by," she says.
Manlius Police are asking anyone with information on this case to contact them at 682-2212.
