Funeral arrangements set for North Country native trooper

State Police have released funeral arrangements for a North Country native who died on the job.

Trooper David Lane, grew up in Dexter, near Watertown. Lane was on duty Wednesday when he was killed in this crash. He was passing a car in Catskill when the two cars collided. Lane went off the road and hit a pole.

Calling hours are spread out over two days. They will be on Saturday from 7pm-9pm and Sunday from 1pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. On both days, calling hours are at Johnson Funeral Home in Dexter.

The funeral will be held Monday morning at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church in Brownville.

Lane was a four year member of the State Police, and an Army veteran. He is survived by his parents, his brother, and his fiancee.
