TOWN OF CORTLANDVILLE -- An Ithaca man was arrested early Sunday morning after a Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit discovered assorted drugs in his car.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a suspicious person in a car outside a Dunkin Donuts on Rt. 13 in the Town of Cortlandville. 33-year old Benjamin Spradlin consented to let the deputies search his vehicle. The deputies and K-9 unit found several packets of Methamphetamine, crack cocaine, unidentified pills, marijuana and $400 dollars.
The narcotics were sent to the crime lab for further analysis.
Spradlin was charged with Criminal possession of a controlled Substance 5th degree, Criminal Possession of a controlled substance 7th degree and Unlawful possession of marijuana. He was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandville Court and remanded without bail. Spradlin is due back in court Monday.
