MANLIUS -- A Manlius man has been arrested after what police say was a six hour standoff. Manlius Police say they were called to 4759 Carnoustie Lane at 3:45 yesterday afternoon on a report of a man threatening his father with a compound bow. They say 26 year old Evan Edwardsen was in the basement, armed with the bow and a knife.

Attempts by police to talk him into surrendering failed. About 11:45 last night, Manlius Police forced their way into the basement and took Edwardsen into custody. They also found a marijuana growing operation in the basement.

Edwardsen is charged with Menacing 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He is being held at the Justice Center. Police say additional charges regarding the marijuana are pending.
