KIRKVILLE, ONONDAGA COUNTY -- Three Kirkville residents are facing charges after allegedly torturing and killing ducks in the Town of Sullivan.
21-year-old Joshua M. Sakran, 20-year-old Joshua A. Bender, and 18-year-old Dakota L. Bender, all of Kirkville, have been charged with cruelty to animals. The men are charged with torturing and killing three ducks at a private residence on Black Creek Road in Kirkville.
Sakran and Bender also were charged after a four-month investigation involving the theft of several all-terrain vehicles and dirt bikes in the Town of Sullivan. Both face charges of third degree burglary, third degree grand larceny and petit larceny. Sakran was also charged with fourth degree petit larceny and Bender with fourth degree grand larceny.
Both Sakran and Bender were remanded to Madison County Jail on the larceny charges. Bender posted $10,000 cash bail and was released.
