SKANEATELES -- One firefighter was injured in a fire at Skaneateles High School. The flames started at around seven o'clock Monday night.

A fire chief on the scene says the fire started in the boiler room. He says the biggest issue was the amount of smoke because it is not a well ventilated area. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for "respiratory reasons." The fire chief says there were no serious injuries.

The district describes the fire saying there was no structural damage and only minor smoke damage.

UPDATE:  Skaneateles Middle and High Schools are closed Tuesday because of the fire. There will be no activities at either school.  The Waterman and State Street schools will remain open.
