ONONDAGA -- An Auburn teen was killed in a crash in Onondaga Friday evening.

Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin Walsh says 19-year-old Jordan Hirsch was driving on Route 20 near Fox Road when he went off the road, down an embankment and hit several trees. Hirsch was taken by helicopter to Upstate University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Sheriff Walsh says he doesn't know for sure yet, but judging by the damage to the vehicle, it looks like the victim was driving at a high rate of speed. Investigators say alcoholwas not a factor, and they're looking into what caused the crash.
