EARLVILLE -- The mayor of Earlville in Chenango County is accused of stealing from her former employer.

State Police say Toni Campbell, 36, previously served as the finance manager for Chenango Valley Pet Foods in Sherburne. Investigators say Campbell used more than $42,000 worth of the company's money for herself. The general manager reported several unauthorized transactions. Police say Campbell was behind the transactions. They say she also kept true transactions out of the company's record books.

Campbell is charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records.
