JORDANVILLE (AP) -- A sleepy hamlet in rural Herkimer County near Utica is revving up for a raucous weekend of music and booming business.

The popular "moe.down" music festival will be at the Gelston Castle Estate in Jordanville for the holiday weekend. Festival-goers who'd rather not pitch a tent on the concert grounds have booked up motel rooms, and businesses are stocking up on extra beer and pizza to accommodate the crowds.

The festival is expected to draw about 10,000 music fans.

Moe.down was held for the last 10 years in Lewis County, where it generated an estimated $700,000 in business revenue last year.

Also, on Saturday, the Ithaca Brew Fest will take place. More then 45 brewers and vendors will offer beer, food, and music from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Stewart Park.
