He caused quite a stir at the Wegmans supermarket in Fairmount weeks ago when he was in town to shoot a series of commercials for his mother's favorite grocery store. Now, Alec Baldwin's homage to Wegmans is on the internet and headed for television too. You can watch it by clicking here.
The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle newspaper reports Baldwin told David Lettermen earlier this year that his mother absolutely, positively will not retire to California - with younger son Billy - because she won't leave Wegmans. Wegmans approached him after that appearance. His mother makes a cameo in the $6-meal ad.
