SYRACUSE -- Today is the last day you can register to take part in the Salvation Army's annual Christmas Bureau charity giveaway. The Christmas Bureau is a project of the Salvation Army, community partners and thousands of volunteers. Eligible low-income families receive a book, a toy and a stocking stuffer for each child in their family. In addition, each family receives a holiday food basket that contains a turkey and all the fixings for a holiday dinner along with extra food to help them feed their children during the school break.
But in order to get the items you need to register in advance. You can do that today from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Oncenter. Eligible families who have pre registered will pick up their baskets Wednesday, December 22nd.
