First-time effort could become an annual effort

The Ithaca Professional Firefighters are launching a Food/Supply Drive for the Tompkins County SPCA.   Firefighter Adam Buck says the firefighters support several not-for-profits every year, and helping out the shelter, and its animals, was a no-brainer, as most of the firefighters hold animals near and dear.  The drivehas begun with a donation from the Ithaca Fire Chief, and Buck says  the effort will officially begin Monday and run until February 21st.  You can drop off at Ithaca Fire's Central Station, 310 West Green Street, Monday - Friday 9am to 4pm.

The firefighters have a list of suggested donations on their website.  Or you can check the Tompkins County's SPCA website for more.
