SYRACUSE -- Update (11:00pm): We're now being told more than 35,000 fans were in the Dome For Monster Jam -- official attendance numbers expected tomorrow.

For many people across Central New York -- the walk to the Carrier Dome is a familiar one. But Saturday night, that walk felt a bit different .
From hundreds of yards away, you could hear the distinct, low rumblings of monster truck engines. Inside, it was even louder -- as the Carrier Dome hosted Monster Jam for the first time. More than 30 thousand fans were in attendance to see the best trucks and drivers the sport has to offer.
At times, the trucks were so loud you could barely hear yourself speak. But fans say that's part of the fun -- many telling me they've been looking forward to this night for more than a month.
