Police: Children in home during Utica drug raid

UTICA -- A drug raid in Utica leads to the arrest of two people.

It happened Monday at a home at 911 Blandina Street.

Utica's Drug METRO unit, which is comprised of Utica police and the U.S. Marshal's Office, arrested Kareem Abrams, 38, and Schenekqua Carter, 32.

Police say there were children in the home at the time of the drug bust. Police say they found cocaine, marijuana and money at the home.

Abrams is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.

Carter is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child.

Abrams and Carter were arraigned and sent to the Oneida County Jail.
