AUBURN -- A 14-year-old missing from Cohocton, New York in Steuben County turns up near Auburn with a 19-year-old man.
Hayley Braziel, 14, was reported missing by her step-mother around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
State police tell CNY Central she was found in a stolen vehicle around 8:11 p.m. on Route 34 near Auburn. Police say they found her with Ryan Mcdermott, 19, along with Allison Mcdermott, 20, and Hayley Braziel, 14.
They say telephone records show Braziel's cell phone was used in Owego around 7:57 a.m. Thursday. They believe the group was trying to make their way down to Florida, as Ryan Mcdermott recently said he wanted to travel there.
Criminal charges are pending and the investigation continues.
