Lyme Disease--transmitted by ticks--is preventable (check for ticks after you've been outside in grass or brushy areas) and also treatable in most cases.  But people who have chronic cases have long term and sometimes debilitating fatigue and illness, and difficulty getting answers from the doctors treating them.  Kristin Schofield is a chronic sufferer, who now  has started a support group.
There is no website, but you can reach her at LymeCNY@gmail.com or at 200-6541.   She says she does most of her contacting by email, though the group also has meetings.  The next is Monday evening, May 16 at Onondaga Free Library (West Seneca Turnpike on Onondaga Hill.
