LIVERPOOL -- A Liverpool man is charged with arson after sheriff's deputies say he started a fire in his apartment.
27-year-old Joshua Smith of 25 Candlelight Circle, was charged reckless
endangerment in the first degree and arson in the second degree, in connection with the fire that broke out in his apartment on friday night. Residents were forced to evacuate while firefighters responded. Deputies say Smith confessed to starting the fire.
He was arraigned in court and is now being held at the Justice Center without bail. Smith is scheduled to return to court on July 7th.
