SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police are on the scene of a standoff with a possibly armed man.

Police tell CNY Central a man has barricaded himself inside a group home operated by Central New York Services, which is located near the intersection of Marcellus Street and Wyoming Street. That's just west of Downtown Syracuse.

We're told that around 11:30 Monday night, a man displayed what police say appeared to be a weapon. Police talked to the man throughout the night, and say he is alone and does not have any hostages. The rest of the group home on Wyoming Street has been evacuated.

Peace, Inc says it is cancelling its programs at the Westside Family Resource Center on Wyoming Street due to the standoff.

Central New York Services provides services to people with mental health and substance abuse issues.
