SHERBURNE, CHENANGO COUNTY -- One day after damaging floods in Sherburne, the streets are dry.

A CNY Central crew went back to the same places in Chenango County visited Thursday. The street where Jim Kenyon walked through water up to his knees is now clear. So is the street where we found someone kayaking.

Sherburne Mayor William Acee says the flood will cost the town money. Acee says streets that were flooded will need repairs, and silt and mud will have to be cleaned out of the sewers. He says he expects flooding like this to happen again at some point, and he wants something done to protect the riverbanks before Sherburne sees that much rain again.
