LOWVILLE -- A Lowville man is accused of injuring a woman during a domestic dispute.

State Police say 37-year-old Phillip Ben Damuth, of Whittaker Road, hurt a woman during a fight, causing the woman to suffer a fractured rib, a concussion and a cervical strain.

Police say it happened around 6:15 p.m. on September 20 in the Town of Martinsburg. Investigators say it happened in the presence of their 6-year-old child.

Phillip Damuth is charged with aggravated criminal contempt, assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in the Village of Lowville Court and released on bail. He's scheduled to reappear in village court at a later date.

Police say 34-year-old Rebecca Damuth, of Glenfield, was fighting with another woman at the time of the incident. She's charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Rebecca Damuth was issued an appearance ticket for a later court date in the Town of Martinsburg Court.
