SYRACUSE -- The next time you head to Carousel Center, you'll have another place to eat.
Panera Bread opens its doors at the mall this morning. The 4,000 square foot restaurant will also offer outdoor seating, a first at Carousel.
"Panera Bread traditionally operates in strip centers or in stand alone buildings," said Robert Schoeneck, general manager at Carousel Center. "We worked closely with the owner and Panera Bread to help them understand the performance and track record here at Carousel Center and once they had all the information they were more than willing to break out of the mold."
The restaurant will be located on the first floor of the mall beneath the Food Court and the carousel.
There are several other Panera's located throughout Central New York.
