SYRACUSE -- A trial date has been set for the driver in the deadly Megabus crash.

John Tomaszewski will go on trial for criminally negligent homicide on February 6th. Four people were killed when the double decker Megabus slammed into the low hanging CSX railroad bridge on the Onondaga Lake Parkway in Liverpool

At his last court appearance, Tomaszewski's lawyer said he believes this case is "on the cusp of criminal liability." Prosecutors say Tomaszewski was lost looking for the Regional Transportation Center last September and started looking at his GPS while driving. They say he didn't see several signs warning drivers about the low bridge.

Since the accident, several actions have been taken to improve safety on the Parkway. Crews painted "low bridge ahead" on the road. A warning system is being installed to help signal drivers who won't make it under the bridge. The state is also banning all commercial vehicles from the Parkway.
