SODUS POINT (AP) -- Authorities have resumed their search for a fisherman missing since his small boat capsized on Lake Ontario's Sodus Bay in central New York.

The Wayne County's Sheriff Office says 48-year-old David Schueler of Williamson and 66-year-old Alan Shultz of Sodus Point were on the water around 10 a.m. Monday when their 16-foot aluminum boat capsized.

Police said both men clung to the boat, but after half an hour, Shultz drifted away. Schueler held on for more than four hours until a nearby fisherman spotted him, pulled him out of the water, and called for help.

Schueler is recovering from hypothermia at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.

The search for Schultz was suspended Monday night. It resumed around 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say neither man was wearing a life jacket.
