The Ronald McDonald House of Central New York is planning a community day for next Saturday (November 12th).

In the planning, a family festival, with games, face painting and arts and crafts for children, according to special events coordinator Brian Hayes .It's also a time for local schools and businesses that have been raising money to formally make their donations, and for 'newcomers' to find out what it takes to supply the house, which becomes home to family members whose children are being treated at Syracuse Hospitals.

The Community Day is set for Saturday, November 12th, noon to 3 at Great Northern Mall's food court. For more information, 476-1027 or check the website.

Hayes also told us that the construction of the 'new' Ronald McDonald House is going well, and they're on target to move next summer.
