SYRACUSE, NY -- Shoppers will have their first chance to step inside the massive expansion of the Carousel Center Mall in Syracuse on Friday. No stores will be open but Destiny executives say the public will be able to see the final preparations for the Lennox China and Hartmann luggage. Those stores hope to open later this month.

The mall has also moved the traditional Santa Claus home into the new expansion. Santa will be arriving at 6pm on Friday.

Several retailers, restaurants and entertainment venues have been announced for the expansion including Toby Keith's I Love This Bar, BCBG Max Azaria, Michael Kors, Max Mara, the AJA nightclub and a bowling alley. Those tenants are expected to open sometime this coming spring.

If you want to get a first hand look at the expansion's progress, the entrance will be on the first level of Carousel Center between the Disney Store and New York & Company. Destiny executives expect the doors will open around 5pm.
