CLARKS MILLS -- An Oneida County man is accused of getting into a physical fight with his own mother.

Oneida County Sheriff's deputies say 24-year-old Hank Williams, of Clark Mills, was drunk when he got into a fight with his mother just before 5 a.m. this morning.

Deputies say Williams came home drunk and forced his way into his mother's bedroom where he physically confronted her over some food stamps. They say she was unable to get away from her son.

Another person in the home heard the commotion and called 911.

Deputies were able to talk Williams out of the bedroom where he was taken into custody. They recovered a loaded .270 caliber rifle. Deputies say Williams was not in possession of the gun.

Williams now charged with menacing, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned and sent to the county jail in lieu of cash bail.
