Car crash near Carousel Center

SYRACUSE -- Two separate crashes happened around the same time Tuesday morning near Carousel Center mall.
One happened on 690 Eastbound at Hiawatha Boulevard around 7:55am. Three cars were involved but there were no injuries.
The second happened on 81 Southbound and involved seven cars. State Police say it was a chain reaction accident.
Police say there were no injuries or tickets in the 81 crash.
Black ice appears to be the cause of the two crashes which both happened an overpass/ramp which tend to freeze faster than regular roads.
