ILION, HERKIMER CO. -- Two fugitives from the North Country are behind bars, facing a number of charges including manufacturing methamphetamine.

27-year-old Hugh Broadbent III, of 103 N. Orchard St. in Watertown, and 29-year-old Andrea Lynch, of Theresa, are charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

State police got a tip that the two were possibly in the Ilion area and may have stolen a vehicle in the Indian Lake area and might have a stolen handgun. Police say Lynch is also wanted for mail fraud.

Police got a tip that Lynch might be going to the Kinney Drug Store in Ilion to pick up a Western Union wire transfer. When Lynch showed up around 5 p.m. Thursday, she was taken into custody. Broadbent was later spotted walking near the Ilion Fire Station. After a brief foot chase, he was arrested.

Both suspects were taken to the State Police barracks in Herkimer and turned over to Watertown State Police.
