Ithaca Police looking for robbery suspects

ITHACA -- Ithaca Police are on the lookout for several suspects after reports of two similar robberies Monday morning.

According to police, around 10:00 a.m. four to six men are alleged to have approached two different victims in the area of University Avenue and Stewart Avenue in Ithaca, not far from the Ithaca City Cemetery and the Cornell University campus.

Both victims say they when they were approached by the men, one of them pulled a knife and demanded a wallet. That suspect is described as a white male, 20 years old, standing more than six feet tall and wearing dark clothing.

Police say the robberies took place within minutes of each other.
