SYRACUSE -- Starting this weekend, you'll be able to get your hands on the first-ever collector's edition of the SU Men's Basketball comic book.

Syracuse University Athletics and The Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation plan to offer THE ADVENTURES OF ORANGEMAN AND ORANGEWOMAN. The comic book features moments in Syracuse Athletics men's basketball history as told by the adventures of superheroes "ORANGEMAN" and "ORANGEWOMAN" with the Syracuse University iconic mascot, Otto the Orange. "In an effort to help raise funds for the Jim and Juli Boeheim foundation, we collectively developed the idea of retelling the history of Syracuse University men's basketball through a comic book," said Juli Boeheim, "The foundation provides much needed financial support to children in need in the Central New York community, so we thought it would be a great idea for the children to see that they can overcome obstacles and become great just like our superheroes, ORANGEMAN and ORANGEWOMAN.

The comic book will be available at Saturday's SU vs. Louisville game in the Carrier Dome. Only 3,000 exclusive and limited edition comics are available at the special one-time price of $10 per copy.

Starting Sunday, the comic book will be offered through the Official On-Line Teamshop of Syracuse University Athletics.

The comics will also be sold at the Syracuse University Book Store, Manny's and University Sports Shop located in Great Northern Mall and Shoppingtown Mall. Limited collector's quantities will be available only while supplies last. Coach Boeheim will sign 100 of the books, which will only be available on this website.

A storyline of Syracuse men’s basketball moments was created in partnership with New York Times best-selling comic bookauthor Mike Raicht and Syracuse University Athletics.

Through the story, ORANGEMAN and ORANGEWOMAN are posed with obstacles reminiscent of past Syracuse men's basketball challenges, and overcome them. It features messages from former Syracuse athletic men's basketball legends, including Carmelo Anthony, Johnny Flynn, Derrick Coleman, Billy Owens, Lawrence Moten, Pearl Washington and many more. "Our mission is to help as many kids as possible and make an impact here in our communities", said head men's basketball Coach Jim Boeheim. "With a great season comes great projects, this comic offers children a collectors piece with truly positive messages from myself, our coaching staff and former SU Greats. ORANGEMAN and ORANGEWOMAN with our friend Otto support our team and players; we're excited to have them!"
