NORTH SYRACUSE -- Parents in the North Syracuse school district are being warned about a pair of suspicious incidents involving students.

The first happened on Monday. An elementary student in the Caughdenoy Road area noticed an older heavy set man in a black four-door Dodge taking photos of kids playing basketball. Police say the same man stopped in the area the week before and asked for directions.

The second incident happened Thursday. A student at Roxboro Road Middle School reported a white box-type van with tinted windows.

The student said the van slowed up and believes the person driving was watching him.

North Syracuse Central School District Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kim Dyce Faucette urges parents to remind children to always be cautious when aware of or approached by strangers for any reason.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department at 435-2111.
