BROOKFIELD -- A Richfield Springs man is accused of leading police on a chase.

State Police say 23-year-old Andrew Delaura, of 8 Park Street, was riding a motorcycle northbound on State Route 8 in the Town of Brookfield just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

When police tried to pull him over, they say he took off, speeding through the Village of Bridgewater and onto State Route 20. Police got the license plate number and stopped the chase. They later found Delaura at his home.

Delaura is charged with unlawful feeling a police officer, reckless driving, aggravated operation of a motor vehicle and several traffic violations. He is also charged with possession of hypodermic needles.

He was arraigned and sent to the Madison County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
