GOUVERNEUR --

State Police in Gouverneur say they arrested 28-year-old Angela S. Hirschey, of 5636 Division Street, for second degree sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Hirschey was arrested following an incident where she allegedly had inappropriate contact with a twelve-year-old girl. State police say it happened at a home in the Town of New Bremen on March 31.

Hirschey was arraigned in the Town of New Bremen Court and sent to the Lewis County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 secured bond. She is scheduled to be back in court on April 11.
