Child hit by motorcycle in Syracuse, driver takes off

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse police are searching for the motorcycle driver who hit a child and took off.

It happened around 1:20 pm Saturday on the 200 block of Roberts Avenue. The 6-year-old child was taken to the hospital for a leg injury and abrasions to the head. Police say the the injuries are non-life threatening. The child was crossing the street when he was hit.

Witnesses described the motorcycle as dark or black colored and possibly a Harley-Davidson. The male driver was wearing a leather jacket. Anyone with information should call Syracuse police at 442-5151.
