Syracuse man stabbed by 14-year-old suspect on Rich Street

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police say they are investigating a stabbing that happened Tuesday night around 11:15pm.

Police say Duval Harper, 19, was stabbed in the abdomen during a fight at 213 Rich Street in Syracuse. That’s between Tallman Street and Bellevue Avenue on the city’s southside.

According to police, the suspect is a 14-year-old boy who is related to Harper’s girlfriend.

Harper was rushed to Upstate University Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Police say Harper is in serious condition but is expected to survive.

Police have not yet located the suspect.

This investigation is still active and ongoing.
