Upwards of 20,000 participants will take to the streets in Utica, to run in Central New York's largest race Sunday.
UTICA, ONEIDA COUNTY -- Rain may have canceled the 4K Boilermaker Walk, but conditions are expected to clear -- and temperatures should cool -- in time for Sunday morning's Boilermaker in Utica.
The 15K road race is one of the largest in the country, and certainly the biggest of its kind in Central New York.
Officials called Saturday morning's walk, a prelude to the big event, because there were severe storms in the vicinity.
Sunday's race starts at 8:00 a.m.. Nearly 20,000 are expected to run, and there will be even more spectators.
