Fatal bicycle-car crash near East Syracuse Minoa High School

EAST SYRACUSE -- A car collided with a bicycle near East Syracuse Minoa High School Tuesday morning.

The crash happened near the intersection of Fremont Road and Kirkville Road around 7:56 am.

Police say the bicyclist was thrown from the bike and suffered severe trauma.

The bicyclist was taken by ambulance to Upstate University Hopsital. Police say efforts to save his life were unsuccessful.

The identity of the bicyclist is being withheld until family memebers have been contacted.

Manlius Police are investigating the crash.
