SYRACUSE --
Bellevue Country Club announced in an email that is offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for damaging the golf course earlier this week.
About $10,000 dollars worth of damage was done to the golf course early Wednesday morning. Police say several greens, fairways and tee boxes have ruts, and there are tire marks on the property and the club has several tournaments coming up.
"We work so hard getting this place to look the best we can in the heart of the season, its frustrating, let alone the drought we had which has been tough this kind of just puts a damper on things," says Mike O'Neill, Bellevue’s golf course superintendent.
Anyone with information is asked to call Club President Armand Cianciosi at 427-9593, Club Manager Brad Blair at 475-5151 extension 11 or Syracuse Police at 442-5222.
