On Friday, Utica Police arrested Octavius Garrett, 31, of Watson Place in Utica, for his role in the May 25, 2011 homicide of Anthony Garner in the City of Utica.

Police say Garrett was charged with 2nd degree murder, and he is the second man this year charged in the Anthony Garner case.

On March 15, Marshall Jackson, 31, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of second-degree murder, weapon possession and possessing a stolen gun.
