SYRACUSE -- A nurse is charged with illegally selling prescription drugs to Bernie Fine’s daughter Sara Fine.
The Syracuse Post-Standard reports that a nurse practitioner from ENT Facial Plastic Surgery, 35-year-old Lauren Havens, illegally sold Oxycodone and Hydrocodone to seven people including members of the Fine family.
It is alleged that Laurie Fine, 21-year-old Sara Fine, 24-year-old Sheila Fine, the Fine’s 26-year-old son-in-law, Quint Streeter, received prescriptions from Havens.
Havens is only charged with one count of criminal sale of a prescription for a controlled substance for the prescription written to Sara Fine, according to the paper.
Laurie Fine’s attorney told CNY Central that the Fine family has not engaged in any wrongdoing and that the Fines are the unfortunate victims of circumstances surrounding this matter.
