DRYDEN -- Police say one person is dead, and four others are hurt, after an SUV and a minivan collided on Route 79 in Dryden Monday afternoon.

Police say 94-year-old Myra Moran was riding in a minivan when it was hit by an SUV that came into the wrong lane. Moran succumbed to her injuries at Cayuga Medical Center.

The driver of the minivan, 59-year-old Laraine Ericson and her son, were taken to Robert Packer Hospital for abdomen pain and a fractured wrist.

The driver of the SUV, 23-year-old Neil Sexton, of New Hampshire, suffered only bruises to his legs and hips.

A passenger in the SUV was air-lifted to Robert Packer Hospital for back pain and another passenger was air-lifted for a complaint of tailbone pain.

State police continue to investigate.
