Report of shooting victim to 911 at 8:15am Saturday morning
On Syracuse's South Side, police are investigating their latest homicide, after a man was found dead on Furman Street early Saturday morning.
Police say the victim, 37 year old Jermaine Whitehead, was found in a backyard on Furman Street. That's on the city's south side.
Syracuse police had responded to a report of shots fired in that area just before 5 am. The victim was found a few hours later. Police don't know if the homicide is related to the shots fired.
